33-year-old star is one of the most "grossly underutilized" talents in WWE, according to Vince Russo (Exclusive) 

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about some stars not getting their dues in the company. He mentioned that Piper Niven was one such performer who was insanely talented but wasn't getting a big push.

This past week on SmackDown, Piper Niven was in a first-round Triple Threat qualifying match for the Women's United States Championship. She was up against Michin and Lash Legend in the contest. Niven could not pick up the win as Michin pinned her.

This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo said WWE had mishandled Piper Niven throughout her career. He mentioned that the 33-year-old powerhouse carried the same aura as Nia Jax. The veteran writer further added that Niven should have been part of the Survivor Series WarGames match instead of Candice LeRae.

"I swear, Piper Niven may be the most grossly underutilized player on both rosters. Seriously. I mean come on guys. You saw Nia Jax at Survivor Series, and then you watch Piper Niven. What's wrong with this picture." [From 47:18 onwards]

Although Piper Niven could not qualify, her tag team partner Chelsea Green has advanced to the next round of the ongoing tournament. It will be interesting to see if Niven can help Green defeat Bayley and compete for the Women's United States Championship at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
