33-year-old star turning babyface after first singles title win in WWE is bound to happen, says Vince Russo (Exclusive)

Former WWE writer Vince Russo has predicted that a 33-year-old star would turn babyface soon. The veteran was talking about Chelsea Green, who won her first singles title with the company this past Saturday.

Since her return to WWE last year, Chelsea Green has put in the hard yards and done some of the best work of her career. The company rewarded her at Saturday Night's Main Event as she was crowned the Women's United States Champion. Chelsea defeated Michin in the final of the tournament to become the inaugural champion.

Speaking about the star on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo noted that Chelsea Green is widely popular among fans which made her a natural choice as the inaugural Women's United States Champion.

"It was Chelsea Green’s time. The fans are telling you. The fans are making it crystal clear. It was definitely Chelsea Green’s time on Saturday."

The former WWE writer added that the company was also bound to turn the 33-year-old babyface eventually:

"Big time. Absolutely. Without a shadow of a doubt. [Chelsen Green turning babyface]. They will do that no doubt." [From 30:56 onwards]

Chelsea Green's title win on Saturday was the first singles championship of her career with the global juggernaut. She received a lot of love and support from the wrestling world after the victory.
