330-lb star makes history; wins major championship post-WWE release
A former WWE Superstar continued his success outside the company by winning another major championship. The 330-pound behemoth has been impressive since getting released in September 2023.
Top Dolla, now known as AJ Francis, had two stints with WWE, which were both short-lived. His second run had a memorable spot, botching his over-the-top dive, leading to him being mocked on the internet.
Despite what happened, Francis has rebranded himself as a top heel in TNA Wrestling and on the independent circuit. He defeated Jake Crist to become the new Pro Wrestling Revolver Remix Champion on Saturday at the REVOLVER Cage Of Horrors 4 event in Clive, Ohio.

In addition to being the new PWR Remix Champion, AJ Francis is also the current Reality of Wrestling Television Champion. His biggest title win since his second release was the TNA Digital Media Championship.
Due to his work since leaving over the past two years, the 330-pound star returned to NXT as his new character with KC Navarro. They attacked Mike Santana to help Trick Williams retain the TNA World Championship.
More former WWE Superstars performed at REVOLVER Cage Of Horrors 4
AJ Francis wasn't the only former WWE Superstar to appear and wrestle at PWR's REVOLVER Cage Of Horrors 4 event on Saturday. Francis was in the main event, while Rich Swann kicked off the show with a win over Matthew Palmer in a Cage of Horrors match.
Killer Kelly, who mainly performed on NXT UK from 2018 to 2020, teamed up with Myron Reed to defeat Crash Jaxon and Jake Crist. Priscilla Kelly, more famously known as Gigi Dolin, faced her real-life fiancé Zachary Wentz, who also had a stint in NXT as a tag team with Wes Lee.
It ended in a no-contest after Dolin suffered a right knee injury. She would later give an update on her condition, calling it a dislocated patella. There's nothing to worry about because it's a recurring injury for her.
The presence of several former WWE Superstars shows that there are a lot of options for them after their release.
