34-year-old former WWE star makes blockbuster return to wrestling after nearly two years
A former WWE name has returned to wrestling after nearly two years at a recent show, laying the foundation for her potential in-ring comeback. The said performer is Mandy Rose, who made her first appearance at a wrestling event since her shocking release from the Stamford-based promotion in 2022.
Rose was shown the door from WWE in December 2022, and since then the former NXT Women's Champion has stayed away from the business to pursue other interests. However, after nearly two years of absence, the 34-year-old star has finally set foot inside the squared circle again at a recent event.
Mandy Rose showed up at the Combine for a Black Label Pro event, where she shared the ring with Ash by Elegance, Jordynne Grace, and Xia Li. While she didn't wrestle at the show, there's no doubt this appearance would fuel rumors of the former WWE star eventually getting back to in-ring action soon.
Mandy Rose is open to WWE return
In a recent interview, Rose revealed that though she was willing to return to the Stamford-based promotion, it would only make sense if she joined the main roster. Mandy Rose explained that she had accomplished it all in NXT and that she would like to perform for a larger audience this time around.
"I would say making that statement, whether it was on Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. I did make such a big statement in NXT. I think it was my time to then get to Monday or Friday or do it on the big screen. NXT’s great, and it’s so amazing what they’ve built. But, obviously, the end goal is to be in front of thousands and thousands of people and big crowds and on TV every week, which I was with NXT, but it was just a smaller situation. But I think that would be the ultimate goal if I wanted to get back. Whether or not it’s with a group or it’s not, and I’m by myself, I think that new Mandy Rose mentality of not really giving a damn and going out there and kicking butt, I think that would be pretty cool, an edgier Mandy," she said.
Considering just how popular Mandy Rose was during her time with WWE, she wouldn't find much difficulty winning over fans if her return became a reality.
