34-year-old star's addition to the Judgment Day was the end of the group, says WWE veteran (Exclusive)
While The Judgment Day was one of the most dominant factions in WWE at one time, the group has lost its edge in the last few months. Vince Russo believes that a lot of this could be attributed to JD McDonagh's addition to the faction.
The 34-year-old has been a part of the Judgment Day since November last year. However, he has not made any significant contribution and is mostly on the losing end of his matches. The same was the case on RAW last night where McDonagh suffered a loss to Braun Strowman.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo highlighted how Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were elevated to the next level in WCW due to the addition of Hulk Hogan to their group. The former WWE head writer pointed out that Triple H and Co. are doing the opposite of that by associating JD McDonagh with The Judgment Day.
"Guys, here is a perfect example and we have talked about this before. So you had the outsiders, you had Hall and Nash, how can you possibly raise the stock of Nash and Hall? How do you raise their stock? Simple, Hulk Hogan. Why did the NWO die? When they kept watering it down, bro. Whoever they put in the group wasn’t raising their stock like Hogan did, it was lowering the stock. That’s Judgment Day. The second they brought in JD McDonagh, it was over. It was over the second they brought him in. I don’t know why they keep this thing going." [From 46:19 onwards]
The Judgment Day accidentally helped Liv Morgan on WWE RAW
Things have not been going in The Judgment Day's favor over the last few weeks and there are clear signs of dissension within the group. Dominik Mysterio once again accidentally helped Morgan in her match against Becky Lynch on WWE RAW. Liv also kissed Dirty Dom following her victory.
While Rhea Ripley has yet to share her thoughts on the situation, she is not going to be pleased with her faction helping out the woman who put her on the shelf.
