34-year-old WWE star sends confident message amidst embarrassing streak
A WWE star is currently on an embarrassing losing streak. However, he has shown no shortage of confidence.
Giovanni Vinci got his start in NXT UK as part of Imperium alongside Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser. The three of them remained a faction during their time in NXT UK, NXT, and even on the main roster.
However, on the main roster, Imperium struggled to gain any momentum as a tag team and were far from reaching their true potential. This caused a lot of issues between Kaiser and Vinci, who were always fighting for Gunther's approval. In the end, Kaiser betrayed Vinci and kicked him out of the group.
Giovanni Vinci spent several months on the shelf before he returned to TV again on WWE SmackDown. However, despite being repackaged with a new gimmick, Vinci lost his first match within seconds to Apollo Crews.
He got a rematch against Crews and lost that match as well. He even competed in a Number One Contender's Tournament for the WWE Speed Championship but came up short. His last televised win came on the February 26 episode of WWE RAW when Imperium defeated The New Day.
Despite his current losing streak, Giovanni Vinci has not lost his confidence. He recently took to social media to post a photo and called himself a piece of art.
"Pezzo d’arte! #HereAndNow #VeniVidiVinci."

Dutch Mantell commented on Giovanni Vinci's poor booking on WWE SmackDown
Since leaving Imperium, Giovanni Vinci's booking has taken a downturn. Although it looked like he would get a push due to the vignettes that aired before his return, that wasn't the case. Within a few weeks, he has lost all his momentum.
On Sportskeeda's SmackTalk, Dutch Mantell wondered if Vinci upset somebody backstage to be in this position. He also noted that it would take a lot of effort to get him over with the fans now.
"It is. It really is [pro wrestling being a cruel business]. We used to say, ‘He pi**ed Vince off.’ I don’t know who he pi**ed off here. Basically, if I saw him, it would take a lot of work to get him over." [From 1:07:41 onwards]
It will be interesting to see if Giovanni Vinci's booking will improve in the future.
