35-year-old WWE star vows to win the Women's United States Championship in 2025
The year 2024 has been great in WWE, especially for the women's division, as new titles were introduced. Recently, Mia Yim, aka Michin, vowed to win the newly introduced title in the coming year, as she teased unfinished business.
Earlier this year, Mia Yim, aka Michin, and Chelsea Green qualified for their respective matches and faced each other for the Women's United States Championship at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Green left with the title, and Yim got to prove herself to the world.
In an interview with Belal Jaber on Wesh 2 News, the 35-year-old star vowed to win the Women's United States Championship in 2025. The former OC member stated she came very close to winning and wouldn't stop unless she dethrones Chelsea Green for the title.
"So, I posted this right after my match at Saturday Night's Main Event, where 2024 was my year of recognition, where it was for people to recognize me and what I can fully do. 2025 is going to be redemption where I'm coming after mine, at the end of the day. I was this close to getting that US Championship, and I could smell it, and now that I got that scent, I'm not going to stop before I get it," Michin said. [From 01:10 to 01:44]
Triple H praised Mia Yim's performance after WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
A few years ago, Mia Yim received a standing ovation during the Mae Young Classic 2018, where the crowd chanted, 'Please sign Mia.' Later, Triple H broke the news to the star as she joined the Stamford-based promotion and performed on the developmental brand under Triple H's creative leadership.
In 2022, she returned to WWE and joined Monday Night RAW, where she became a member of The O.C. The 35-year-old star had a breakout year in 2024 as she came very close to winning the Women's United States Championship. Later, Triple H had a message for Michin following Saturday Night's Main Event.
"Success is a journey… @MiaYim, you are well on your way," Hunter wrote.
The rising WWE star has her eyes set on the title, which she thinks she should've won in Long Island heading into 2025.
