36-year-old former WWE Superstar returning to the ring after almost two years
A former WWE Superstar is coming back to professional wrestling after a two-year break. The 36-year-old star has been in and out of the business due to various factors and it seems like he is making another return.
ACH, formerly known as Jordan Myles in WWE, has not been active since last competing for AAW in Chicago in September 2022. He made headlines in 2019 when he publicly accused the Stamford-based company of being racist after his merchandise seemingly insinuated blackface.
According to an announcement from SCWPro, ACH will be returning to the ring after a hiatus of almost two years. He will be facing "The Cajun Kid" Shain Boucher in one-on-one action. It is scheduled on Saturday at the Blue Grass Community Center in Blue Grass, Iowa.
ACH received a fairly good push in WWE when he was with NXT after initially suffering a lot of losses early in his tenure there. He was renamed Jordan Myles and even won the 2019 NXT Breakout Tournament, defeating superstars such as Boa, Angel Garza, and Cameron Grimes.
The San Antonio native challenged Adam Cole for the NXT Championship but failed to win it. A month after battling for the title, the T-shirt controversy happened and he was gone from the company in November 2019. He would wrestle on the independent circuit following his release before briefly quitting after wrestling a series of matches for MLW.
ACH regrets comments against WWE but won't take it back
In an interview with Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet back in 2020, ACH admitted that he regretted the things he said about WWE. However, he won't take it back since that is how he felt although he would have been more calm and intelligent about the situation.
"I was having the time of my life there. I really was. I enjoyed my time there. I really did. But then when they released that shirt, is when I got angry. I made a lot of comments that I'm not gonna take back, because that's just how I feel. Now, could I have said them a lot better? Absolutely. I said a lot of things out of anger. If I would've said those things a little bit more intelligently, and calmly, and came from a real place and not an angry place," ACH said.
ACH's last match before his scheduled return on Saturday was for AAW. He teamed up with 1 Called Manders and Jah-C to defeat Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis of the Aussie Open and Zachary Wentz in a six-man tag team match.
