36-year-old star explains why Drew McIntyre is like The Undertaker and Jordynne Grace
WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has been compared to The Undertaker and Jordynne Grace by a 36-year-old star. This was a compliment by Joe Hendry, who had massive praise for the RAW Superstar.
Hendry made a surprise appearance on NXT several weeks ago as an entrant in the 25-man Battle Royal to determine Trick Williams' next challenger for the NXT Championship. The clip of his entrance went on to become WWE's most-viewed tweet of the year. The Scottish Warrior acknowledged the TNA wrestler by saying that he believed in him.
During a recent interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Joe Hendry stated that he appreciated what Drew McIntyre said. He compared the former World Heavyweight Champion to The Undertaker and Jordynne Grace because he thought that Drew was reliable and an example inside and outside of the ring.
"I appreciated that. I really did. That means a lot because, again, I’ve said this as well. I’m gonna compare him to someone you met recently, which is to me on the UK indies, Drew was our Undertaker. He was the guy you went to, he lifted the shows, he was an example. To me, he is just like Jordynne [Grace], like Drew is an example inside and outside of the ring. And yeah, so I was absolutely honored for him to say that," Joe Hendry said. [H/T chrisvanvliet.com]
What the future has in store for The Scottish Warrior remains to be seen.
Jim Cornette wants to see CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam 2024
Drew McIntyre is currently involved in a very personal feud with CM Punk. The Second City Saint flew all the way to Glasgow, Scotland, to cost Drew the World Heavyweight Championship at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event. However, McIntyre took revenge by attacking Punk on SmackDown last week in Chicago, Illinois.
Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette revealed on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast that SummerSlam 2024 is the perfect place for Punk vs. Drew to take place.
"I have a feeling they've [WWE] got their date and they decided it won't be stale between now and then. And I think this is perfect because now he's [CM Punk] got time to recuperate from this beating and come back and freshen this thing up and I have a feeling we'll probably see these two at SummerSlam," Jim Cornette said.
It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious when CM Punk and Drew McIntyre eventually face each other in WWE.
