36-year-old star rumored to be headed to WWE spotted training in The Dungeon 2.0
A 36-year-old wrestling star was spotted training at WWE Superstars Natalya and Tyson Kidd's The Dungeon 2.0 facility in Florida. Joe Hendry is one of the rumored names who may appear in a potential crossover event between NXT and TNA wrestling.
The collaboration between NXT and TNA has the wrestling world buzzing, with Against All Odds reportedly close to being sold out. Jordynne Grace is scheduled to defend her TNA Knockouts World Championship via an Open Challenge at the event. There's the possibility that a WWE Superstar will attend the event and accept the challenge. There has been much talk about the two companies working together again soon.
In a post on her official X account, Natalya shared a video of Hendry training at The Dungeon 2.0 and discussed how proud she was to welcome the popular TNA star.
Hendry reposted the video and explained that he's getting ready for the weekend's Against All Odds. Interestingly, he doesn't have a scheduled match at the event to defend his TNA Digital Media Championship yet.
"Thank you @NatbyNature for getting me ready for a huge weekend👏 👏 #TNAAgainstAllOdds," Hendry wrote.
Cody Rhodes announcing a 25-man Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 contender for Trick Williams' NXT Championship next week opens the potential for another crossover. Rhodes said that the participants would come from "different locker rooms," so TNA stars such as Joe Hendry, Moose, Matt Hardy, and more might make surprise appearances.
Natalya and Tyson Kidd could leave WWE
According to Fightful Select, Natalya's contract will expire this month. Her husband, Tyson Kidd, currently works as a producer in WWE, having signed a standard employment agreement, so there's a chance he might leave once her wife becomes a free agent.
The couple has been with the company for almost two decades, starting at the developmental territories in the mid-2000s. They have contributed a lot to the WWE, so it could surprise many if the company decides to cut ties with them.
Natalya is a well-respected veteran who might get an offer from AEW to represent her family at the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, aka the Owen Cup. Kidd is a bright wrestling mind who will help any promotion thrive from a production standpoint.
