37-year-old retired star open to returning to WWE under Triple H's regime: "He’s awesome"
Triple H has changed the landscape of WWE since taking charge of the company's creative team. More and more wrestlers have recently been showing interest in working for the global juggernaut and former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly is the latest star to join the list.
Kelly Kelly was a part of the Stamford-based promotion for nearly six years. The 37-year-old won the Divas Championship during her tenure with the company. She was released from her contract in 2012, shortly after which she announced her retirement. She has made sporadic appearances on WWE programming since then, even winning the 24/7 Championship during a guest appearance.
in a recent interview with WrestlingNews.co, Kelly Kelly revealed that she loved working with The Game and was open to a return to the squared circle.
“I love Triple H. We worked together. He was great to work with. I mean, I would love to come back and work for him. He’s awesome.”
Kelly Kelly also commented on the positive atmosphere in WWE under Triple H's regime
Triple H took over WWE's creative department from Vince McMahon in 2022. The company has flourished under Hunter's leadership, setting new records almost every week. Numerous reports have also stated that the backstage environment in the global juggernaut has improved drastically since the 14-time World Champion replaced his father-in-law.
Kelly Kelly commented on the same in the aforementioned interview, noting that she has seen positive changes during her occasional returns to the company.
“I didn’t really work under Triple H when I was there. Vince was still there…I worked with Hunter when Hunter came back and was like, wrestling. I’ve been back for the Rumbles and stuff now that Hunter's — and it’s cool to, see him just kind of take over and, you know, it’s been cool.”
The 37-year-old spent over six years in WWE before her release in 2012. Shortly after leaving the company, Kelly Kelly announced a break from pro wrestling. She has not competed in any singles bouts since then and only wrestled in multi-woman Royal Rumble matches.
