37-year-old WWE veteran discloses real reason why Vince McMahon didn't want her to turn heel

Wrestling veteran Kelly Kelly has explained why Vince McMahon did not want her to be a heel. She played a babyface for the majority of her run in WWE.

The former Divas Champion made her in-ring debut on the August 22, 2006, episode of WWE ECW, where she teamed up with Mike Knox and Test to take on The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and Torrie Wilson in a six-person mixed tag team match. After leaving the company in 2012, she made a few sporadic appearances beginning in 2017 and was an entrant in the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble match.

Speaking to WrestlingNews.co in a recent interview, Kelly Kelly recalled asking Vince McMahon to turn her heel. However, when he asked her to make a mean face, she started laughing instead.

"Be a heel? Yeah. I think I told this story before too. I tried to ask Vince like, 'Hey, I really feel like I could, you know, I want to try out being a heel' and he was like, 'Let me see your bad guy face' and I just started laughing. And he was like, 'No, you'll forever be a babyface.' So I don't know, maybe that's why they changed it, who knows," said Kelly Kelly. [11:45 - 12:10]

Ronda Rousey says she wishes she wrestled under Triple H instead of Vince McMahon in WWE

Triple H is the current head of creative, and he's been in charge since his father-in-law stepped down in 2022. The entire landscape of professional wrestling changed after The Game took over.

Former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey told Denise Salcedo that she wishes she was part of the Triple H era instead of the Vince McMahon era, as the former believed in her.

"It was an incredible introduction. Part of me wishes the time that I wrestled would have been in the Triple H era and not the Vince (McMahon) era because he was the one that believed in me from the very beginning. I've been hearing incredible things about how he's running stuff now. It was such an experience," said Rousey.

Ronda Rousey was last seen in WWE at SummerSlam last year, where she lost to Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match.
