38-year-old former WWE star reveals if he really dislikes Roman Reigns

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Matt Cardona recently disclosed what he thinks of Roman Reigns.

Cardona's close friend Cody Rhodes returned to the Stamford-based company in 2022 after several years of absence. Last April, he squared off against Reigns in an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match in the main event of WrestleMania 39. Despite The American Nightmare's efforts, he lost to The Tribal Chief after interference from Solo Sikoa.

In a recent interview with Barstool Rasslin', Cardona commented on Rhodes' loss to the leader of The Bloodline, disclosing whether he really dislikes Reigns.

"I definitely wanted Cody [Rhodes] to win because he's my friend and because I told him to go back [laughs]. [And because you don't like Roman?] I do like Roman. He's killing it. He's the f**king man," Cardona said. [From 08:31 - 08:39]

Matt Cardona has three conditions to return to WWE

In April 2020, Matt Cardona was released from his contract after spending nearly 14 years in the Stamford-based company. Although his wife, Chelsea Green, is now active on Monday Night RAW, Cardona has not returned to the promotion.

In the same interview with Barstool Rasslin', Cardona stated that he has three conditions to return to the company.

"[When are you redebuting with WWE?] The two Cs have to be right. The cash and creative. [Is there an amount of cash that can make the creative not matter as much?] Not for me. Not for me. And she [Steph De Lander] needs to come along," he said. [04:46 - 05:02]
