38-year-old WWE star to become Mr. Money in the Bank, predicts analyst, and then dethrone Gunther after he wins the World Heavyweight Title
A WWE name has predicted that a RAW Superstar could dethrone Gunther after the latter potentially wins the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam 2024. Sam Roberts has picked Jey Uso to become Mr. Money in the Bank and eventually cash in the contract on The Ring General, who might win the coveted gold in August.
Jey Uso qualified for the ladder match by defeating Rey Mysterio and Finn Balor on last week's RAW. Considering just how popular he is, it wouldn't be a surprise if WWE had Jey climb the ladder and capture the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Meanwhile, Gunther has a guaranteed shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2024. He would face the winner of the match between Damian Priest and Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank 2024.
On his podcast, Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts spoke about Gunther potentially winning the World Heavyweight Title and Jey Uso becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. Roberts believed that if WWE went in this direction, fans could eventually get to see the 38-year-old step up to The Ring General and cash in his briefcase to win the gold.
"We are seeing the rise of Damian Priest. Let Gunther ruin the rise of Damian Priest. And then coming off that, Gunther is the World [Heavyweight] Champion, Damian Priest can get victories over other people, Seth Rollins can get victories over other people, and if Jey Uso wins the Money in the Bank, within a year, Jey Uso is the guy who could beat Gunther because Gunther has beaten him twice, don't forget. Intercontinental Title and King of the Ring qualifiers," Sam Roberts said. (1:14:24 - 1:14:50)

Ludwig Kaiser is confident about his stablemate Gunther winning at WWE SummerSlam 2024
In a recent interview, Ludwig Kaiser sounded confident about his Imperium stablemate Gunther's chances of emerging victorious at SummerSlam 2024. Kaiser explained that he had known The Ring General for over a decade and firmly believed he had it in him to win the gold, no matter who was pitted against him.
"If you ask me: of course - no doubts about The Ring General [laughs]! We've been best friends for decades now and I know what he can do and I'm very confident. But of course, I'm just as excited as everyone else to see how it turns out in Cleveland," Kaiser said.
The one obstacle in Gunther's way could be Randy Orton. He had defeated The Viper under controversial circumstances at King and Queen of the Ring 2024. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the WWE legend seeks a rematch before SummerSlam.
