38-year-old WWE star removed from major match after an attack from Wyatt Sicks; replacement revealed
Chad Gable had a Monday night to forget as his faction members turned their backs on him and then he was attacked by Wyatt Sicks towards the end of WWE RAW. The Alpha Academy leader was left bloodied by the sinister faction which has now caused him to be replaced in a major upcoming match.
The 38-year-old was the first prominent name to be targeted by Uncle Howdy and his sinister friends. Gable was seen on the floor with a head wound while Howdy walked past him. The group had other victims as well, but none of them appeared to be notable on-screen talents.
Chad Gable was slated to be involved in a qualifying match for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Master Gable was set to face Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman on the upcoming RAW, with the winner advancing to the high-stakes Ladder Match.
However, with Wyatt Sicks taking out the star, he won't be competing in the qualifying match now. It has now been revealed that Ilja Dragunov will be replacing Gable in the triple-Threat Match. The announcement was made on WWE Main Event.

While the Wyatt Sicks was a vision of the late Bray Wyatt's. The Eater of the World passed away untimely, last year, after being on the shelf for months. However, the former WWE Champion's legacy is set to be continued by his real-life brother, Bo Dallas who will be leading the group as Uncle Howdy.
The sinister faction's WWE debut was an emotional moment for many as it had been tough to deal with Bray Wyatt's death. Uncle Howdy and friends' arrival left even Corey Graves in tears.
"I cried. I sobbed. I sat in my bed, I was in bed, my wife [Carmella] was asleep, so I had the volume turned very low. I assumed it was going to happen at the end of the show, and I wasn't sure what to expect because it's such a touchy subject. Bray [Windham Rotunda] meant so many things to so many different people. He was such a unique character, a unique presentation, I don't think it could have been done any better than it was Monday night," he said.
Wyatt Sicks has already taken their first shot on RAW as they left Chad Gable bloodied. The group is expected to inflict further damage in the upcoming weeks.
