38-year-old WWE Superstar is convinced he can turn John Cena heel before retirement

During his heyday, John Cena polarized WWE fans. Eventually, though, the ubiquitous response was cheering for the man who arguably best represented the sports entertainment giant.

Since turning babyface early on in his career, Cena never turned heel, albeit there were many opportunities for the company to pull it off. At this stage in the 16-time WWE World Champion's career, it is hard to fathom. However, Karrion Kross is up for the challenge.

Karrion Kross and his stable, The Final Testament, were picked by general manager Adam Pearce as the newest addition to the Monday Night RAW roster as part of the draft. Although John was featured on SmackDown in his latest stint last year, Cena was best known as the face of the red brand.

Taking to X/Twitter, Kross responded to a fan who asked if he could turn John Cena heel, as every other wrestler who has faced The Doom Walker eventually turned to the dark side once the feud ended:

"Of course I could. I see HIM," Karrion Kross wrote.

Cena returned as a regular on SmackDown for two months in the fall of last year. The run culminated in an emphatic loss to The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. He resurfaced at WrestleMania Sunday last month, assisting Cody Rhodes in the main event against Roman Reigns and clan.

The 16-time WWE World Champion assured fans he is not ready to "hang up the jorts" just yet

After his WrestleMania appearance—in which he tussled with The Tribal Chief, returned the favor to Sikoa, and stood toe-to-toe once again on the grand stage with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, John Cena joined Pat McAfee for an interview.

On The Pat McAfee Show, Cena confirmed that his WWE career is not over. He also added that his current uniform is not the last fans have seen. John is known for switching to various colors and designs of t-shirts over the course of his career:

"Last night wasn't my last night, so this doesn't mean this is my last uniform," said Cena about the outfit he wore at WrestleMania XL. "That means that I have speculated a lot about when it is that I hang up the jorts. It wasn't last night, and I still got a little rubber left in the tank."

Karrion Kross had previously expressed interest in facing John Cena, long before he returned to WWE in August 2022. Last year, he wanted to know how fans felt about the potential first-time-ever contest.
