39-year-old megastar makes WWE debut after leaving major promotion

After weeks of anticipation, a major wrestling star finally made his WWE debut on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. Penta is now the latest addition to the roster following his departure from AEW.

The 39-year-old star has competed in some of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world during his career. He is known for his time in Lucha Underground where he held the world title twice and other promotions such as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Ring of Honor, and TNA/Impact Wrestling.

He is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and held the TNA World Tag Team Championship with his brother Rey Fenix. They are collectively known as The Lucha Bros, and the two stars also held the AEW World Tag Team Championship when they were in the promotion together.

Rey Fenix is still signed to the Tony Khan-owned promotion while Penta made his WWE debut on the latest episode of RAW. His opponent was none other than Chad Gable. The Olympian was told by Adam Pearce last week that his surprise opponent was going to be one of the best luchadors in the world.

Penta's AEW contract expired in November, and WWE aired video packages for multiple weeks to promote his debut.
