4-time champion explains why he won't create a faction in WWE
WWE's new regime has made factions one of the most prominent parts of the product. Meanwhile, a popular star has explained why he won't create a group in the company. The star in question is Braun Strowman.
Braun Strowman is no stranger to factions, as he received a major break in the Stamford-based promotion when he joined The Wyatt Family on WWE's main roster. However, it's been a couple of years, and The Monster Among Men has not been part of a group since.
In an interview with WWE Deutschland, the two-time RAW Tag Team Champion was asked by a fan if he had any interest in creating a faction. The former Universal and Intercontinental Champion stated that he's been alone most of his career and likes to keep everyone in check rather than teaming up in a group.
"You know, I've thought about that before and I've that question asked before. Since my Wyatt Family days, I've always been alone, and I don't mind coming out and helping. I can't stand a bully, and I can't stand people seeing getting ganged up on (...) At the end of the day, I'm kind of like an avenger or enforcer that keeps everybody in check," Strowman said. Braun Strowman teases potential alliance with a major WWE faction
The Wyatt Family sent shivers down the spines of several superstars when Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, and Braun Strowman were on the same page. However, it all changed for The Monster Among Men when he was drafted away from his family in 2016.
He later feuded with Bray Wyatt on Friday Night SmackDown, and the two had an intense storyline for the Universal Championship. Sadly, The Eater of The Worlds passing away in August 2023 saddened many close ones, including Braun Strowman.
In the same interview, the former Universal Champion addressed Bo Dallas' [Bray Wyatt's brother] new faction, The Wyatt Sicks. The 40-year-old star feels a pull towards the faction, and it could unleash his old monster on the WWE's roster if he potentially aligns with them.
"At the same time, there's something inside of me, I can feel it pulling me towards them. I don't know if I like it or not. I locked that part of me away a long time ago. I thought I did a good job of putting it in somewhere that it was never going to be able to get out again," Strowman said.
The Wyatt Sicks recently attacked Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers.
