4-time WWE champion comments on a potential first-time-ever dream match against Motor City Machine Guns
WWE's tag team division is reportedly getting better with every passing day. Meanwhile, former Tag Team Champion Tommaso Ciampa expressed his interest in going up against Motor City Machine Guns.
Motor City Machine Guns have been one of the most influential tag teams in the past two decades. The legendary TNA duo is reportedly set to enter the Stamford-based promotion and fans cannot hold back on their excitement.
In an interview on Battleground Podcast, DIY's Tommaso Ciampa expressed his interest in locking horns with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin in the Stamford-based promotion. The Blackheart spoke highly of the duo and Johnny Gargano's relationship with Shelley.
"Yeah, that's the natural go-to, at least from what I see and here. For whatever reason, whether it's our style or size or whatever, everyone seems to pair us and those guys together. I mean, they've influenced tag team wrestling for two decades now. We've taken stuff from them and concepts and ideas from them."
He added:
"I've actually never wrestled either of them [Alex Shelley or Chris Sabin] in singles or tag in my entire career. So, it would be really cool for that to happen on WWE stage for the first time. I know Johnny's [Gargano] got a pretty good relationship with Shelley. He's known him forever. I love those guys, and he loves those guys," Ciampa said. [From 13:48 to 14:27]

Motor City Machine Guns are reportedly not the only team to sign with WWE
The tag team division in WWE received new life under Triple H's creative leadership when The Game split the division and added new stars to the roster. However, a major name is set to arrive in the Stamford-based promotion to enhance the division.
According to WrestleVotes exclusively on Backstage Pass, WWE has reportedly signed Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix, aka The Lucha Brothers to a multi-year deal. Merchandise work has begun for the two and the brothers will likely head to the main roster, rather than the developmental brand.
Meanwhile, several new signings such as Giulia, Motor City Machine Guns, Stephanie Vaquer, and more will be starting their journey on the developmental brand in the coming weeks.
