4-time WWE champion hints at challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title; could also seek a major rematch

WWE Superstar Gunther has been an unstoppable force since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2024. Meanwhile, after losing the Intercontinental Title last week on RAW, Bron Breakker commented on what's next in sight for him.

The Dog of WWE captured his first-ever main roster singles title at The Biggest Party of The Summer. He defeated Sami Zayn for the IC Championship. However, on the September 23, 2024, edition of the red brand, Jey Uso dethroned the 26-year-old and ended the latter's 51-day reign.

In this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker confronted The YEET Master and admitted that the latter had earned his respect. Later, the one-time NXT Tag Team Champion and two-time NXT Champion encountered Gunther backstage, and his gaze fell upon the coveted World Heavyweight Championship.

In an interview with Justin Dhillon on The Wrestling Classic podcast, Bron Breakker stated that he had multiple options for his next career move. The Dog of WWE said that he could seek a rematch against the newly crowned Intercontinental Champion, or pursue The Ring General's World Heavyweight Title.

"It's very out in the open time for me right now in terms of, like, where I'm headed; what's next for me? But, I think, a lot's at my disposal right now; I think I have options. I can go for the Intercontinental Championship. I have a right to a rematch [against Jey Uso]. I also could go for Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship," Breakker said. Gunther is set to defend his title next week on WWE RAW

The Imperium leader successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin 2024. Since then, Sami Zayn has repeatedly challenged the Austrian to a title match, but the reigning champion has consistently declined.

However, that changed in the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. Sami Zayn took a jab at the reigning King of the Ring for supposedly "disappointing" his family at WrestleMania 40. In response, Gunther attacked the former Bloodline member for the disrespectful comment and finally accepted the challenge. The 37-year-old will defend his title against The Underdog from The Underground on next week's RAW, which will emanate from St. Louis.

Will Sami Zayn capture his first-ever world title in WWE, or will Gunther retain his gold, potentially setting up a future match with Bron Breakker? Only time will tell!
