4-time WWE champion issues a warning to LA Knight
LA Knight's run on WWE SmackDown as the United States Champion has brought new life to the division. However, The Megastar was issued a warning by Carmelo Hayes, who is looking to capture the gold.
Last month, LA Knight walked out victorious in Ohio with the United States Championship at The Biggest Party of the Summer. However, this didn't sit well with four-time WWE champion, Carmelo Hayes, as the rising star lost a handful of matches to fellow SmackDown Superstar, Andrade, and a title shot against The Megastar.
On the most recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Hayes attacked Andrade after the latter lost a title match against LA Knight. Speaking on SmackDown LowDown, the former NXT Champion called out The Megastar and issued a warning that he was coming for the title.
"And, LA Knight, just know. You see what happened with Andrade. That's ain't gonna happen with Carmelo Hayes. You see how I did Andrade? I do you the same way inside that ring. And I'll be standing there with that United States Championship," Hayes said. [From 00:54 to 01:04]

LA Knight recently surpassed former champion on WWE SmackDown
Earlier this year, the clock was ticking on Logan Paul's reign as the United States Champion when LA Knight targeted the social media sensation. Later, The Megastar earned an opportunity against The Maverick for a title match in Ohio at SummerSlam.
In the end, Knight defeated Paul and won the United States Championship. In the following weeks, he defended the title against Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser on Friday Night SmackDown.
On the most recent edition of WWE SmackDown, The Megastar made his third successful title defense against Speed Champion, Andrade. After the match, Carmelo Hayes attacked the 34-year-old challenger in a backstage segment.
This victory allowed LA Knight to surpass Logan Paul's total successful title defenses. The Maverick successfully defended his gold twice before succumbing to Knight in his third United States Championship match at SummerSlam 2024.
