4-time WWE champion pulled from upcoming event due to family emergency; issues apology
While Elijah was a part of WWE he was known as Elias and even claimed to have a twin brother. Following his release in September 2023, he returned to the Independent circuit and was scheduled to be part of the Intimate Evening With Elijah show in the UK next week.
Ahead of the show, it was revealed by Inside the Ropes that Elijah will no longer be able to attend shows from July 15 onward, which included a stop in Glasgow. The announcement did note that Elijah would still appear in London on July 12 but would then be forced to fly home.
Elijah himself took to social media to explain that he had a family emergency and had to return home, but he made it clear that he would try to reschedule to ensure that he made his return to Glasgow.
Elijah was expected to be part of an evening show where he would share several stories about his career, including his days in WWE. He will still be part of the event in London, but it seems that the fans in Glasgow will be refunded their money for the now-canceled show. They will only be able to see him if the organizers manage to reschedule the show to a later date.
Elijah made his name as Elias in WWE
Elias originally became a household name as The Drifter and is a former four-time 24/7 Champion in WWE but he later changed his gimmick to reveal that he had a twin brother called Ezekiel.
Ezekiel made his debut in 2022 before Elias was forced to return later that year as the family storyline continued. However, Kevin Owens was not being tricked by Elias and claimed that he was both men, pretending to have a twin.
Despite being a popular character with his new gimmick, Elias was released from his contract in late 2023 and has since been working under the ring name - Elijah.
