40-year-old star defeating Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title is not happening, says Veteran (Exclusive)

Cody Rhodes' reign as the Undisputed WWE Champion has generated a mixed response from fans and critics as many believe that the outcome of the American Nightmare's matches is always predictable. Vince Russo believes the same is the case for Bash in Berlin where Rhodes is guaranteed to retain against Kevin Owens.

Cody granted KO the Undisputed WWE Championship match at the company's upcoming premium live event. While the Prizefighter was hesitant at first, he accepted the challenge after Nick Aldis talked about giving the title shot to Roman Reigns instead.

However, Vince Russo is not impressed with the decision as he stated on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW that the outcome of the match is already known and Cody Rhodes is going to retain his title. The former WWE head writer also called out the company for their predictable booking:

"You really think Kevin Owens is gonna beat Cody Rhodes? That’s the biggest joke. That’s what I am talking about bro. There isn’t a chance in hell of Orton winning or of Owens winning or Sami Zayn winning tonight. This is what I am talking about. The predictability. You know the finish of every match before the match even freaking starts." [27:58 onwards]

Kevin Owens has not won a world championship since his Universal title victory in 2016. He does not have a very impressive record in recent times and was, therefore, hesitant to accept a shot at Rhodes' title.
