40-year-old star should be the one to end Roman Reigns' historic WWE run instead of Cody Rhodes, believes veteran (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo believes LA Knight should be the one to end Roman Reigns' ongoing title run instead of Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes and LA Knight are two of the hottest babyfaces in WWE right now. While The American Nightmare is the most logical name to eventually usurp the Tribal Chief, the recent rise of Knight has provided the company with another option, and fans certainly won't mind seeing The Megastar hold the big gold belt.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo explained why he prefers LA Knight over Cody to end Roman Reigns' historic run.

"The Cody thing is so fricking predictable. I mean that’s why [Choosing Knight]. If LA Knight were to ever shock the world and beat Roman Reigns, that would be something. Cody is so [predictable], just like the end of the show was tonight. I was just waiting for him to come down with that headband. Like you knew this was coming from a mile away and that’s how it is with him winning the title." [53:26 - 53:54]

Cody Rhodes failing to beat Roman Reigns will be surprising, WWE Hall of Famer believes

Cody Rhodes came closest anyone has ever been to dethroning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, The American Nightmare was stopped in his tracks by Solo Sikoa. Still, many expect him to finish the story next year and win the title that has eluded him all his life.

Eric Bischoff also holds the same views as the WWE Hall of Famer stated that he will be surprised if the former AEW star fails to usurp the Head of the Table.

"[Where do you see this Bloodline-Cody Rhodes storyline going?] I would be surprised if Cody doesn't eventually beat Reigns and come out victorious in this Bloodline storyline," he said.

Cody came face-to-face with Reigns on SmackDown a couple of weeks back, which made many hopeful that his time will come next year. The American Nightmare is currently busy with the Judgment Day on RAW and will face Damian Priest at Crown Jewel on November 4.
