40-year-old WWE star joining forces with Roman Reigns may reignite historic rivalry, says ex-hostÂ
A four-time Intercontinental Champion had a historic WWE rivalry with Kevin Owens. Former WWE host Matt Camp suggested that the feud could be reignited if that superstar reunited with Roman Reigns.
The Prizefighter recently turned heel and attacked Cody Rhodes after the latter unexpectedly teamed up with The Original Tribal Chief to defeat The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood. As Camp predicted on the Busted Open podcast that Sami Zayn would reunite with the original Bloodline ahead of Survivor Series to fight Solo Sikoa's faction, he claimed it could lead to Owens reigniting his historic feud with the former Honorary Uce.
The former RAW Talk host pointed out that it would make sense to revisit the Owens-Zayn rivalry if the four-time Intercontinental Champion joined forces with Reigns like Rhodes did:
"And by the way, that could easily play into the KO stuff. Unbelievably, we could revisit KO and Sami yet again. It would make sense," he said. [39:16 - 39:28]
Sami Zayn challenged Gunther on WWE RAW
While Roman Reigns remains at war with Solo Sikoa's Bloodline on SmackDown, Sami Zayn recently chased the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night RAW.
The former Honorary Uce challenged Gunther for the title last Monday on the red brand. Despite his efforts against The Ring General, the 40-year-old failed to capture his first-ever World Championship. According to a recent report from WRKD Wrestling, the next step for Zayn could be reuniting with Roman Reigns.
Zayn was part of the original Bloodline until Royal Rumble 2023, when he turned on his Tribal Chief. He challenged Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber the following month but came up short. It will be interesting to see if The Original Tribal Chief tries to convince the former Intercontinental Champion to fight by his side once again.
