40-year-old WWE veteran wants to win the World Title; last singles title run was seven years ago

WWE Superstars are often determined to win the big one before transitioning into different roles as performers in the company. Similarly, the former United States Champion Baron Corbin said he wants to win the World Title.

A few years ago, Baron Corbin was strapped with a rocket behind his back as the management gave him the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale win, the United States Championship, and the Money in the Bank briefcase in less than two years. However, he hasn't come close to the same amount of success after losing the briefcase.

In an interview with WrestleZone's Bill Pritchard, the 40-year-old star stated he wants to win the World Title, without specifying which one, in the coming months or years. Moreover, Corbin stated that he deserves to hold the title as he's been in the ring with seasoned veterans and legends in the WWE.

"You know, I've been in the ring with every major superstar there is, from [The Undertaker] 'Taker to Roman [Reigns] to [John] Cena to Seth [Rollins]. I've not been in the ring with Cody [Rhodes]. So getting in there in the mix with him is a goal for me. I've not been in the ring with [Damian] Priest; that's a goal. But it's getting that World Title. I want that on my Wikipedia page. I want that on my list of accomplishments that I was a World Champion. I think now's the time to do that. The momentum I have and the energy I have towards what I'm doing. I think it's important to make that run," Corbin said. [From 04:40 to 05:13]

The Lone Wolf is a former United States Champion and hasn't had a singles title run in seven years.

What's Baron Corbin up to after returning to WWE's main roster?

Earlier this year, Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker dropped the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship to Nathan Frazer and Axion as the two were parting ways from the developmental brand.

The Dog of WWE was drafted to Monday Night RAW and The Lone Wolf returned to Friday Night SmackDown. After a few matches, Corbin was involved in a storyline with the Legado Del Fantasma.

The former United States Champion aligned with Apollo Crews to take on the faction. However, the two are yet to gain some momentum as a team on the brand.
