42-year-old star says her nephew wants to become a WWE Superstar

A longtime wrestling veteran recently shared that her nephew wants to become a WWE Superstar. Natalya is a third-generation superstar, coming from the famed Hart family in Canada. Her grandfather is Stu Hart, who created the Dungeon, which trained a bunch of wrestling legends. Stu is also the father of Bret and Owen Hart, as well as the father-in-law of Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart.

In an appearance on Threads with McKenzie Mitchell, The Queen of Harts revealed that her 12-year-old nephew, Maddox, has already started training at Dungeon 2.0 to become a fourth-generation star. His favorite superstar is Jey Uso, who sent him a bunch of gifts that inspired him even more to pursue his dream.

Maddox is the son of Natalya's sister, Kristen "Muffy" Neidhart, and Adam Culbreth. "Muffy" is the youngest daughter of Jim Neidhart. Natalya teased Maddox's potential in a social media post last month.

"Actually, my nephew, Maddox, wants to be a WWE Superstar. He's still little. He's only 12, but he wants to get into it, and he's actually been training with me and TJ at the Dungeon. So he does amateur wrestling in school, and yeah, he wants to be a WWE Superstar. He wants to get into wrestling," Natalya said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

The former SmackDown Women's Champion added:

"I always say, 'You've got to dream big!' But Maddox's wrestler is Jey Uso, okay? And Jey Uso has given Maddox many pieces of [sic]; he gave Maddox a shirt that he wore to the ring and a pair of his glasses, and [he] sent Maddox a video. So Maddox is very inspired. So I think there will be a fourth-generation Hart."

Update on Natalya's contract with WWE

Natalya's contract is reportedly expiring soon, and the two sides have not agreed on an extension. Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp provided an update on The Queen of Hart's contract, noting that people within the company are staying quiet about a potential negotiation.

The 42-year-old star has been with the Stamford-based promotion since 2007 and is one of the longest-tenured talents in the company. She's a valuable member of the women's locker room and is well-respected among her peers.

While WWE failed to re-sign Ricochet and Dijak, the company gave extensions to talents such as Seth Rollins, Chad Gable, Finn Balor, and Drew McIntyre.
