43-year-old WWE name sends condolences after Roman Reigns' father, Sika Anoa'i's passing
A WWE personality has sent a message to Roman Reigns after the latter's father, Sika Anoa'i, passed away. Reigns paid tribute to the Hall of Famer on X/Twitter, and TJ Wilson (aka Tyson Kidd) extended his support to The Tribal Chief following the unfortunate development.
At WrestleMania XL Night Two, Reigns lost his Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody, marking the end of his 1,316-day title reign. The bout saw many legends, including The Undertaker, John Cena, and The Rock, make cameo appearances. Since the loss, the 39-year-old has been away from TV, allowing Solo Sikoa to step up and become the interim leader of The Bloodline.
On June 25, 2024, it was announced that Reigns' father, WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa'i, had passed away. Many fans and pro wrestling personalities paid tribute to the tag team legend on social media.
Roman Reigns also took to X/Twitter to thank everyone for supporting his family following the unfortunate passing of Sika. In a heartfelt message, The Tribal Chief highlighted his father's contributions to their family and the pro wrestling business.
"My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola'ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team. My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by his passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent him and his legacy. Rest in Power, Dad. We love you."
In the replies section of the tweet, WWE personality Tyson Kidd paid tribute to Sika by sharing red heart emojis.

Bill Apter opened up about his relationship with Roman Reigns' father, Sika Anoa'i
Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter has worked with many pro wrestling legends, including The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika).
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted, Apter mentioned how heartbreaking it was to find out about Roman Reigns' father's death. The Hall of Fame journalist reflected on his lengthy friendship with The Wild Samoans.
"Dear friend, half of the Wild Samoans and the father of Roman Reigns, Sika Anoa'i died today. And what surprised me was that I had heard recently that he had been ill, but Afa, his brother, has been in the news for being very ill recently as well (...) I have known the Samoans before they were the Samoans, they were The Islanders." [2:33 onwards]
We at Sportskeeda extend our heartfelt condolences to the Anoa'i family and their friends at this challenging time.
