46-year-old sends seven-word message after confronting Drew McIntyre on WWE RAW
Drew McIntyre points his fingers logically at each WWE Superstar he steps up against for their wrongdoings. But the Scotsman is ultimately the one that pays the piper. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago at Money in the Bank post-show, a physical altercation with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce forced the latter to suspend him.
The suspension was lifted by Pearce after CM Punk's request, and McIntyre returned this week. However, when asked to apologize to the referees who were also victims of the former WWE Champion's rampage, he refused.
Adam Pearce informed Drew McIntyre that the suspension was not lifted. This led to yet another face-to-face confrontation between the two during their in-ring segment on RAW until Seth Rollins intervened. Taking to Instagram, Pearce reminded fans that he has been in the business for a long time by posting a throwback picture of himself during his wrestling days:
"I've been around longer than you know," he wrote.
CM Punk is reportedly not cleared to wrestle just yet. WWE has reminded fans of this at every opportunity they get. Perhaps The Visionary interjecting in the Scotsman's business this week on RAW was an indication of the company's plan for SummerSlam. The Straight Edge Superstar was expected to be back before August 3. It might still be the direction Triple H and Co. takes.
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo calls Adam Pearce the heel in the ongoing storyline on WWE RAW
Vince Russo perhaps echoed the sentiment of many Drew McIntyre fans following this week's Monday Night RAW segment between the former WWE Champion and Adam Pearce.
Reviewing it on Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW, Russo stated that the company is humiliating The Scottish Warrior. He believes Pearce is unreasonable by forcing the athlete to apologize after everything the latter went through in the last few months. This includes multiple screwjobs at the hands of CM Punk in important matches, especially in Drew McIntyre's home country of Scotland in June:
"It's literally humiliating the guy. Pearce is the heel, like Pearce ain't the babyface. I mean Drew did exactly what anyone would have done. You're not gonna come out here and embarass me and humiliate me. You wanna have this conversation, we have this conversation in the back. We're not gonna do this infront of all these people."

It remains to be seen how WWE will weave the narrative now that Seth Rollins has been added to it. With no titles on the line, where will this triangle feud go? Hit the Discuss button and share your thoughts!
