46-year-old WWE star calls out Jey Uso after IC Title win
"Main Event" Jey Uso finally did what he had set out to do in WWE a year ago — win his first singles title. The Bloodline's former Right Hand Man is now Intercontinental Champion.
Speaking of The Bloodline, Uso was once upon a time arguably the biggest Roman Reigns follower. Naturally, he obeyed The Tribal Chief's orders. RAW GM Adam Pearce looks back on such a moment.
Taking to Instagram, Pearce noted how Jey Uso kicked him in the face four years ago, but it appears he has let bygones be bygones. The 46-year-old veteran congratulated the YEET Master for winning his first singles title 15 years after his WWE debut:
"An argument can be made that I probably shouldn’t be happy for a guy who once kicked my face off. But here we are. Congrats, Uce! #yeet," Adam Pearce wrote.
Uso's win was an emotional moment for his fans, who have consistently reacted favorably to him this year, despite all the times he lost in high-profile situations. The seventh time was a charm for Mr. Main Event, as he defeated Bron Breakker this past Monday.
What does Jey Uso's triumph mean for Bron Breakker?
Bron Breakker dropping the IC Title came off as a bit of a shocker for some because he was still fresh into his reign. Former WWE writer Vince Russo feels Breakker has rubbed some higher-ups the wrong way, and he is getting punished for it. However, Tommy Dreamer comes from another school of thought.
Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Dreamer noted that the loss does not mean the young stalwart is going anywhere. Moreover, world championships are still very much in his future:
"I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll 100% lay money on the line that Bron Breakker will be a WWE World Champion before his career is done in the WWE. Maybe several times. I do think he's a main-eventer for WWE. By saying main-eventer means main event WrestleMania," Dreamer said.
Meanwhile, a new report is likely to leave fans of Jey Uso disappointed. It states that Mr. Main Event will not be holding on to the belt for long.
