49-year-old looks almost unrecognizable 16 years after WWE release
WWE Superstar Natalya recently posted an update on social media featuring former Diva Cherry. The latter looks almost unrecognizable in the recent photos shared by the former Hart Dynasty member.
Cherry is best known for her role as a manager of former WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce 'n Domino. However, she was replaced by former Divas Champion Maryse in 2008. Unfortunately, she was released from her contract later the same year.
Natalya, one of the most experienced performers on the global juggernaut's female roster, made her debut against Cherry. The Queen of Harts recently took to Instagram to wish the latter a happy birthday as she turned 49. She posted multiple images with her longtime friend and penned a heartfelt message in the caption.
"Happy birthday to you @ddcchick [Cherry]! My first match in WWE was against Cherry and I may have given her a black eye but somehow we’ve been best friends ever since (That’s how us lady wrestlers roll!!) Thanks for always being there for me and all of my crazy shenanigans. Here’s to many more fun times together down the road… and I’m ready for our rematch anytime you are!" wrote Natalya.

Cherry praises WWE Superstar Natalya; calls her extremely talented
Natalya has been an integral part of WWE's female roster for years now. The 42-year-old is widely considered one of the best in-ring performers in the wrestling promotion.
During her appearance on the Cheap Heat Production podcast, Cherry had a lot of good things to say about Natalya. She explained what makes the former SmackDown Women's Champion so good.
"She’s extremely talented, creative, the talent, she constantly invests in herself. Every aspect of her position there, she has absolutely brought a thousand percent to, whether it’s public appearances, whether it’s putting more time and investment into her character, into her gear, into her training, into her ideas," she said. Amid rumors of her potential exit from the Stamford-based wrestling promotion, Natalya recently signed a new contract with the company. However, she has been absent from television for the last few weeks. It remains to be seen when the veteran performer will compete in her first match after re-signing.
