5-time champion's cryptic message seemingly directed at WWE for Money in the Bank snub

WWE Money in the Bank this Saturday will follow the annual tradition of having two Ladder Matches to determine who will take the first step towards possibly changing their careers forever. Six men and women qualified for their individual contests in the last few weeks on the company's flagship shows.

Unfortunately for many talents who attempted to qualify but failed, they also wound up not getting booked for this major premium live event at all. Ex-UFC mauler Shayna Baszler is not too pleased with this decision. Being a part of the company since 2017, Baszler has been featured several times in high-profile matches and events, including WrestleMania 36. It was Lyra Valkyria who walked out of the June 24 episode of WWE RAW with the win over Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, Baszler shared a meme that has a small conversation in it. You can view the post here.

"Hey man, you free this weekend? *wipes single tear* "I'm free every weekend," it read on Shayna Baszler's Instagram Story.

In the Summer of 2023, it appeared WWE was looking to re-establish Shayna Baszler as a force to be reckoned with. She handed fellow UFC alumni Ronda Rousey the latter's first submission loss, after which Rousey left the company for good.

Becky Lynch wanted to put over Shayna Baszler at WWE WrestleMania

In 2020, Shayna Baszler dominated the Women's Elimination Chamber Match and punched her ticket to WrestleMania. Her opponent was then RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch. A high-profile match between the two was building for months ahead of the grand stage.

At the time, The Man was pregnant and needed to vacate the title soon. Instead of putting Baszler over on her way out, though, WWE booked Lynch to pick up the win and this unfortunately hampered the ex-UFC star's momentum.

Looking back at their feud in her autobiography, Becky Lynch recounted her idea getting rejected. According to the Irish-born wrestler, it was her long-term vision that made her want to put Baszler over. She felt that fans were turning on her after her lengthy title reign as a babyface. But in the end, things did not go in the way she hoped they would.
