5-time WWE World Champion won't turn heel anytime soon, predicts Sam Roberts; makes bold claim about Seth Rollins

Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts recently predicted that former two-time WWE Champion and three-time World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk won't embrace a villainous persona anytime soon. He also made a significant statement about Seth Rollins' connection with fans.

The Visionary is set to clash with The Second City Saint on the RAW Netflix premiere on January 6, 2025. Rollins has been openly critical of Punk's return to WWE, citing the latter's scathing criticisms of the company after his departure in 2014.

On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts highlighted the disconnect between Seth Rollins' criticisms of The Voice of The Voiceless and the fans' continued support for the latter.

"What's interesting about all of this is CM Punk is so beloved by wrestling fans that Seth Rollins is saying all of this about Punk and no fans are denying that it's true. Fans are going like, 'Yeah, I guess you're right but how great is it to see Punk again, plus, looks what he's doing now. He's doing right by us now, so it's all good,' and Seth's going, 'It's not all good,' and the fans are like, 'Well, we think it is, so we're going to cheer him,'" he said.

The analyst predicted that this disparity in opinion would ultimately lead to fans cheering CM Punk and booing Seth Rollins, making it unlikely for the former AEW star to be portrayed as a villain anytime soon.

"And they're cheering CM Punk and in turn, I think they're going to naturally boo Seth Rollins. I don't see CM Punk being a villain anytime soon," Roberts added. [From 37:17 to 37:56]
