52-year-old WWE veteran apologizes to Damian Priest for kicking him out of The Judgment Day; it's not Finn Balor
Damian Priest's journey with The Judgment Day came to an end at WWE SummerSlam 2024, where he was betrayed by Finn Balor. While The Prince was the mastermind behind Priest being ousted from the group, it was R-Truth who apologized to The Archer of Infamy for the incident.
At SummerSlam, Finn Balor helped Gunther defeat Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. On the same show, Dominik Mysterio betrayed Rhea Ripley to side with Liv Morgan. The following night on RAW, Carlito and Morgan officially joined the heel faction, replacing The Terror Twins.
R-Truth, who was a self-proclaimed member of the faction for a while, recently had a backstage interaction with Damian Priest. The 52-year-old veteran apologized to The Archer of Infamy for kicking him out of The Judgment Day. Truth noted that Tom and Nick Mysterio (Dominik) got in his head. Priest reassured the veteran that all was forgiven.
Damian Priest won the number one contenders match on WWE RAW
Damian Priest has hit his stride since the start of this year, firmly establishing himself as a main event-caliber talent. The Archer of Infamy competed in a Fatal Four-Way match on RAW to determine the next challenger for Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship.
Priest overcame Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins, and Sheamus to win the contest and will face The Ring General in a rematch from SummerSlam.
Priest won the first world title of his WWE career earlier this year as he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre after the latter's victory over Seth Rollins. The former Judgment Day member had a four-month title reign during which he defended the gold against Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, among others.
The Archer of Infamy will have a chance to reclaim the title as he will go head-to-head with The Ring General again. They will likely collide at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
