6'7" star jokes about finally making "RAW debut" despite leaving WWE a few days ago
A 6'7" star was featured in a vignette as well as a fan sign on Monday Night RAW - which he joked about, stating that he finally made his RAW debut. This was despite announcing his departure from WWE recently.
The star in question is none other than Dijak, who has now reverted to his old name, Donovan Dijak, upon leaving WWE. He was supposed to make his debut for the red brand or return, as he previously appeared under the name T-BAR for RETRIBUTION. However, the 2024 Draft presented the perfect opportunity to pivot him to the main roster.
Instead, he was met with silence and wasn't utilized - revealing that his WWE contract was coming up and that the company opted not to renew it. Despite this, he has been light-hearted on Twitter/X - joking that he made his "RAW debut" at last.
Dijak was featured in a video package where he was taking offense from Ilja Dragunov, and a fan sign saying "Thank you Dijak" also appeared:
It's a shame he couldn't get his big main roster break. There's no news about why WWE chose not to utilize Dijak, let alone renew his contract.
That seems to be one approach taken nowadays instead of outright releasing superstars. Drew Gulak was another name who was rumored to have been released, but Triple H confirmed that his contract was up and WWE opted not to renew it.
Dijak was recently moved into the alumni section of WWE.com.
