65-year-old legend makes first WWE TV appearance in 7 years at SummerSlam; endorses Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes made his way to the ring in what was an epic entrance at SummerSlam 2024. But what popped the crowd and people watching at home was the fact that he ran into a 65-year-old legend who made his first appearance on WWE TV after years.
The main event of SummerSlam began with Solo Sikoa making his entrance before the camera panned to the inside of Cody Rhodes' tour bus. He took his loyal long-time best friend, Pharaoh, to the ring in what was the latter's last tour as he is now a senior dog at 13 years.
In an epic moment, the 65-year-old Arn Anderson was spotted making his first WWE TV appearance since Starrcade 2017 (a special live event). He endorsed The American Nightmare as you can view in the tweet below.
Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes have a long history together. For nearly five years, he was a part of AEW and decided to part ways with the company once his contract expired in late May 2024.
It was great to see Arn Anderson again. There's no word on whether he has a role with WWE or whether this was simply a one-off to enhance Rhodes' entrance.
Either way, the WWE legend's surprise appearance was fun to watch for fans worldwide.
