7-time World Champion could be Gunther's next challenger, says veteran, after WWE Bad Blood 2024
Gunther's reign on WWE RAW as the World Heavyweight Champion started well after The Biggest Party of the Summer in Ohio. However, Tommy Dreamer feels CM Punk could be next in line for a title shot after Bad Blood in Atlanta.
Earlier this year, CM Punk's plans to main event WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight Championship ended as The Straight Edge Star got injured and went on a hiatus. However, he instantly feuded with Drew McIntyre who prayed on his injury.
Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer believes the former five-time WWE World and two-time AEW World Champion will be Gunther's next challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship. Moreover, he thinks Drew McIntyre could go on a hiatus from weekly television after Bad Blood 2024:
"I think the only place CM Punk can go is the world title. I think, we have a CM Punk / Gunther match, that's a massive main event waiting. Drew [McIntyre], I don't know where he goes. It maybe gives Drew a little bit of time away. (From 19:50 to 20:15)

CM Punk called out Gunther for a title match after WWE Bash in Berlin
The rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre crossed a few lines between the two and was filled with blindsided attacks from one another. The two notable names exchanged victories over each other over the past month.
Last month, Drew McIntyre scored a win over CM Punk in Ohio. Later, The Second City Saint won a Strap match against The Scottish Warrior in Berlin. After the win, Punk wanted to move away from McIntyre and challenged Gunther.
After the event, The Straight Edge Star stated he was done with The Scottish Warrior and wanted to go after Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship. The 45-year-old star called out The Ring General on WWE RAW before McIntyre attacked him.
A third match between Punk and McIntyre will take place in Atlanta inside Hell in a Cell. It'll be interesting to see which star walks out with a victory as it could be the final match between the two.
