7-time world champion would officiate a Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre if he receives a call from WWE CCO Triple H
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will seemingly continue on WWE RAW. A seven-time world champion recently disclosed that he would be willing to officiate a third match between the two superstars. The name in question is Booker T.
After beating The Scottish Warrior in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin, Punk seemingly wanted to put that rivalry behind him as he expressed his desire to pursue the World Heavyweight Championship. However, he was brutally attacked by McIntyre last Monday on RAW, resulting in The Best in the World leaving the arena in an ambulance.
While many expect what happened on the red brand to lead to a third square-off between the two fierce rivals, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T said on his Hall of Fame podcast that he would be open to officiating a Hell in a Cell Match between Punk and McIntyre if Triple H asked him to.
"I'll be there in a heartbeat. I'll be there in a heartbeat. I would love to officiate, you know, a match like that and really, you know, call it right down the middle. Yeah, mano a mano. Yeah, yeah," he said. [36:40 - 36:56]
WWE analyst wants CM Punk and Drew McIntyre to main event Bad Blood
WWE analyst Peter Rosenberg also discussed CM Punk's feud with Drew McIntyre on his Cheap Heat podcast. He predicted the two would go head-to-head for a third time in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood.
Meanwhile, Rosenberg suggested that the potential fight between The Best in the World and The Scottish Warrior headline the upcoming premium live event:
"You know what we're getting. Oh yeah, we are going to Hell in a Cell. They have to. I believe too they should make it the true main event of Bad Blood. You do not need a title match to main event Bad Blood. It should be CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Hell in a Cell, once and for all, this is it," he said.
While Seth Rollins officiated Punk and McIntyre's first square-off at SummerSlam, it would be interesting to see whether Booker T would play the same role in a potential Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood.
