7-time WWE Women's Champion may have officially retired after losing to Liv Morgan, claims backstage analyst

Liv Morgan hasn't looked back since winning the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch earlier this year. Backstage analyst Sam Roberts recently addressed The Man's future in pro wrestling.

Becky Lynch hasn't been seen in WWE since the May 27, 2024, edition of Monday Night RAW, where she failed to recapture her title from Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match.

Dominik Mysterio once again became a thorn in her side and ended up costing Big Time Becks her last match before her contract expired. Months later, Lynch sparked her retirement rumors via a cryptic Instagram post.

Recent reports suggested that the 37-year-old superstar has been enjoying her time off and would be open to working with WWE again if the situation called for it.

Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts said Becky Lynch may have quietly hung up her boots, but he is expecting to see her back in the Stamford-based promotion at some point.

"Think about how much bigger this division is going to get in very short order, right? Already, hypothetically, to come back at some point, you got Becky Lynch, who is out right now but has never said she's retired from wrestling. Now look, maybe she is but realistically, I think there's a good chance that she'll be back in WWE sooner rather than later," Roberts said. (From 50:35 onwards to 50:59)

Liv Morgan continues to make history in WWE

Liv Morgan is having the time of her life. The Miracle Kid recently defeated Nia Jax to become the inaugural Women's Crown Jewel Champion at the namesake premium live event on November 2.

However, she failed to capitalize on the momentum on RAW last night when she and Raquel Rodriguez unsuccessfully challenged Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

The main event saw Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax interfere to change the outcome, but Naomi showed up to fend off the heels.

With Survivor Series: WarGames right around the corner, it will be interesting to see if WWE will book a gimmick match featuring superstars from RAW and SmackDown.
