71-year-old WWE legend should manage the War Raiders in major swerve, claims veteran wrestling journalist (Exclusive)
Veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter discussed the War Raiders winning the World Tag Team Championship. The group was crowned new champs this past Monday on RAW.
Erik and Ivar put on a stellar show this week against The Judgment Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Damian Priest showed up at ringside and ensured that Balor didn't get away with any underhanded tactics.
This week on The Wrestling Time Machine with Mac Davis, Apter mentioned that WWE could pull a major swerve and add Paul Ellering as the manager of the War Raiders. The Sportskeeda Senior Editor felt it would harken back to the 71-year-old WWE legend's days serving as the manager for the Road Warriors, Hawk, and Animal.
"You know what I'd like to see happen? I'd like to see Paul Ellering pulled out of Karrion Kross' group and become the manager of the War Raiders. Just got that nostalgia, even though they don't look like or do any ring work like the Road Warriors, I just want to see him with them." [From 0:38 onwards]
With the win, Erik and Ivar became three-time tag team champions in WWE. It will be interesting to see how WWE books their title reign this time around.
