9-time WWE champion forming huge alliance with Roman Reigns is possible, says analyst, after Cody Rhodes convinces him

A former WWE personality thinks Roman Reigns may align with one of his former rivals after Cody Rhodes to take on The Bloodline on SmackDown. Matt Camp believes The American Nightmare can convince Kevin Owens to join him and Reigns in their ongoing feud with Solo Sikoa and his cohorts.

There have been rumors of KO potentially turning heel and feuding with Cody Rhodes after the latter agreed to align with Roman Reigns to face Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood 2024. On last week's episode of WWE SmackDown, Owens teased taking out Rhodes with a chair and finally turning to the dark side.

On his Wrestling Matt podcast, Matt Camp said WWE might not go in the direction of Kevin Owens turning heel as fans could deem it to be predictable.

The former RAW Talk host thinks The American Nightmare could rather convince the former Universal Champion to join him and Roman Reigns for a potential WarGames Match against The Bloodline at Survivor Series 2024.

"History is the reason why Kevin Owens had that look on his face on Saturday. History is the reason why when Kevin Owens was holding that chair and they framed it as such, you knew what he was capable of. They don't have to rush that. They can get to what may or may not be a heel turn for Kevin Owens. Maybe that's too predictable. Maybe Cody does understand what Kevin says and maybe Cody talks him into being part of the WarGames team alongside Roman Reigns. Maybe that'll be the case," said Matt Camp. (16:35: 16:12)

KO is a nine-time champion in WWE. He has won the NXT, United States, Tag Team, Universal, and Intercontinental titles. However, The Prizefighter failed to dethrone Cody Rhodes at Bash in Berlin.

Vince Russo isn't convinced about Kevin Owens' appeal in WWE

On Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackDown BroDown, Vince Russo didn't mince any words while criticizing Kevin Owens, saying he didn't look like a star during his promo segment on the Friday night show.

Russo further mentioned that when compared to Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, KO came across like an indie wrestler.

"Again, bro, I always talk, Mac, from a casual viewer's point of view," Russo reminded co-host Mac Davis. "After seeing those two [Reigns and Rhodes] on the football field, we go to Kevin Owens, and I swear to God, here's my first impression: 'Who's this slob?' Those guys look like stars. Kevin Owens does not look like a star. He looks like an indie wrestler."

It remains to be seen what WWE has in store for Kevin Owens in the coming weeks, as seeing him team up with Roman Reigns will surely pop fans.
