9-year WWE veteran is wasting her time; she could be on Charlotte Flair's level, says ex-employee
A former Women's Tag Team Champion is currently part of a faction on WWE RAW. However, ex-WWE employee Tommy Carlucci recently claimed that the mentioned superstar was wasting her time with that group.
Sonya Deville joined the Stamford-based company in October 2015. She has since been part of multiple stables and tag teams, including Absolution and Fire and Desire. The 31-year-old has also held the Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Chelsea Green. Earlier this year, Deville returned from a long absence due to an ACL injury to form Pure Fusion Collective with Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler.
On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The War Room podcast, Carlucci slammed WWE's current booking of Deville. He claimed she had the potential to be on Charlotte Flair's level but continued to waste her time with PFC.
"She potentially could be on Charlotte's level if you let her grow as a superstar, folks. That's how good she can be. She did it before. She was with Mandy Sacs [Mandy Rose], and I don't see what they're doing with her now; I don't get PFC; I don't get the name, and I'm not interested. But yes, she's wasting her time," he said. Ex-WWE head writer is not a fan of Pure Fusion Collective
On an edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, former WWE head writer Vince Russo heavily criticized Sonya Deville and her Pure Fusion Collective teammates.
The wrestling veteran claimed fans would not pay money to see the heel faction.
"We got our new bouncies, bro. Did you catch our new bouncies? Oh my God, bro. You got Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark. That gimmick [is] what they do now? See that gimmick? They put their guns in. Bro, that's worth the $200 ticket. Let me run to the cash machine. Let me get my 200 bucks so I can see these three yahoos put their guns in the middle. What are you, nuts?" he said. [From 52:27 onwards]
Pure Fusion Collective locked horns with Damage CTRL (IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai) in a six-woman tag team match on this week's RAW. However, the faction came up short.
