"A very deserving guy" - Matt Hardy on former WWE champion getting inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame
Matt Hardy has commented on a former WWE Superstar getting inducted into the 2024 TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame. The person in question is none other than Rhino (aka Rhyno).
The Man Beast is also known for his time in ECW, where he held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once. He was the last person to hold the title before the promotion was purchased by WWE. In 2016, he and Heath Slater became the inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The two stars also held tag team gold in TNA Wrestling.
Speaking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Matt Hardy stated that he's happy to see Rhino getting inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame this weekend ahead of Bound For Glory.
"It’s great. Rhino is a very good choice, especially being here in Detroit. He is Detroit Rock City through and through. I’ve known Rhino for 24 years now, and he is a very deserving guy. He is someone who busted his a** for professional wrestling and contributed so much to the business," said Hardy.
Matt Hardy says he and Jeff Hardy are enjoying their time in TNA Wrestling
The Hardy Boyz returned to TNA after parting ways with AEW in April. Their run in the Tony Khan-led promotion didn't meet expectations.
Matt Hardy told Scott Fishman that he and Jeff are enjoying their time in TNA Wrestling.
"We’re feeling really good. We’re happy with how things turned out. The whole TNA environment, the locker room, everything has been pitch-perfect thus far. I feel like they are putting myself and Jeff in situations to succeed. They are optimizing our usage. Once again using our status as legends, which is weird to say. But they are using us the right way where they are maximizing us."
Matt and Jeff Hardy are set to compete in a Three-Way Full Metal Mayhem match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Bound For Glory.
