A McMahon family member's return to WWE in 2025 isn't ruled out, says Tom Prichard
Except for Stephanie McMahon's husband, Triple H, no one from the McMahon family is currently involved in WWE. Wrestling veteran Dr. Tom Prichard recently addressed the possibility of another McMahon family member returning in 2025.
Shane McMahon has been in and out of the Stamford-based company over the past two decades. The 54-year-old last appeared at WrestleMania 39 when he made a surprise comeback to challenge The Miz to a one-on-one match. However, Shane O'Mac suffered a legitimate injury and had to be replaced by Snoop Dogg. On a recent episode of Taking You To School, a fan asked Prichard whether he thought Shane could return to WWE in 2025.
The wrestling veteran did not rule out the possibility of seeing Triple H's brother-in-law returning. However, he pointed out that Shane was "pretty cool where he's at":
"Well, anything can happen in WWE as has been proven. But I think Shane is pretty cool where he's at," he said. [18:56 - 19:02]
The WWE veteran doesn't think Shane McMahon would join AEW
Over the past several months, rumors suggested Shane McMahon was interested in joining AEW. Vince McMahon's son was even spotted having a meeting with Tony Khan.
On the Taking You To School podcast, Dr. Tom Prichard discussed whether Shane O'Mac could make a surprising move to Khan's promotion. He pointed out that the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion is a successful businessman and does not need to return to the Stamford-based company or join AEW:
"Yeah, I don't know if Shane wants to go to AEW. I mean, he's a successful businessman. I don't know what he's doing right now but I think Shane's okay with not coming back to WWE or AEW," he said. [19:09 - 19:24]
It would be interesting to see if Shane McMahon would work with his brother-in-law, Triple H. Vince McMahon recently revealed on his Netflix docuseries that Shane O'Mac initially opposed The Game's relationship with his sister, Stephanie McMahon.
