Absent WWE star sends cryptic message to Becky Lynch ahead of SmackDown

An absent WWE Superstar sent a cryptic message to Becky Lynch ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown in Orlando, Florida. The Man has not competed in a match since the May 27 edition of WWE RAW.

Damage CTRL's Asuka took to social media today to send an interesting message to Becky Lynch. The Empress of Tomorrow is currently out of action with a knee injury and has not wrestled since The Kabuki Warriors' loss to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash 2024.

Asuka included several photos of her battles with Lynch in the past, as well as when Big Time Becks announced she was pregnant on the May 11, 2020, edition of RAW.

Lynch won the Women's World Championship earlier this year after Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title. She lost the title to Liv Morgan at WWE King and Queen of the Ring, then came up short in a Steel Cage match against the 30-year-old in May. The veteran has not competed since, and her WWE contract has reportedly run out.

Ex-WWE writer believes Becky Lynch should be angry about RAW star's booking

Wrestling legend Vince Russo believes Becky Lynch should be upset about how the company has booked Lyra Valkyria on the main roster so far.

The former NXT Women's Champion is currently paired with Kayden Carter and Katana Chance on the red brand. She was defeated by Nia Jax in the finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament earlier this year.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo claimed Lynch should be upset about Valkyria's booking because she put the 27-year-old over in the past. The 37-year-old lost the NXT Women's Championship to Lyra Valkyria last year at Halloween Havoc.

"If I am Becky Lynch, I'm saying why did you have me endorse her if you're gonna do absolutely nothing with her? That brings down my brand, that brings down my brand," said Russo.

Lynch shared a cryptic message earlier this month that seemingly hinted at her retirement. Only time will tell what the future holds for the former champion in the world of professional wrestling.
