Absent WWE Superstar reacts to Cora Jade's latest social media photos

Before this week's edition of WWE NXT, Cora Jade uploaded a new set of photos on social media. The pictures caught the attention of Damage CTRL member Asuka, who is sidelined with an injury.

In late 2023, Asuka joined Damage CTRL when she betrayed Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair during a six-woman tag team match. Earlier this year, the Japanese icon and Kairi Sane lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at the Backlash France Premium Live Event. Two days later, it was revealed that The Empress of Tomorrow suffered a knee injury.

On Tuesday, Asuka posted a smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji in the replies section of Jade's post.

At NXT's CW premiere on October 1, the returning Jade helped Roxanne Perez retain the NXT Women's Championship, costing Giulia a potential title victory.

Cora Jade was once considered to join Damage CTRL

Bayley formed Damage CTRL at the 2022 SummerSlam 2022 Premium Live Event. The Role Model introduced Dakota Kai and IYO SKY as the original members of the group.

In an interview with Cultaholic, Bayley revealed that she considered three NXT Superstars as potential Damage CTRL members, including Cora Jade. She said:

"Well, actually we just had Lyra [Valkyria] on the show last night and I thought she was pretty awesome. It was cool to see someone like that come up. I've seen a little bit of her stuff on NXT and just I'm more so liked how she conducted herself backstage and could seeing [sic] what that match meant to her and being on the show, what that meant to her in front of her hometown. So, you know, I kinda got my eye on her now. But there are a few I don't wanna give away, Jacy Jayne, Cora Jade."

Unfortunately for Bayley, in the lead-up to WrestleMania XL, she was kicked out of Damage CTRL after winning the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match. At The Grandest Stage of Them All, she dethroned IYO SKY to win the WWE Women's Championship.
