Former WWE star claims Gunther doesn't need to be champion right now

A former WWE Superstar does not believe Gunther needs to win the World Heavyweight Championship tomorrow at SummerSlam.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Afa Anoa'i Jr. commented on the title match between Damain Priest and Gunther at the premium live event. He noted that the King of the Ring winner was coming off of a historic reign as Intercontinental Champion and does not need another title right away.

"To me, if I'm doing it, Damian is retaining. Just because Gunther, just coming off his historic IC run, I don't think it's time yet for him. It's a high-profile matchup which is why it's booked. But I just don't necessarily think that he needs it at the moment." [From 17:50 to 18:17]
