Adam Pearce addresses potential in-ring return ahead of WWE SmackDown

Adam Pearce addressed a potential in-ring return ahead of this week's edition of WWE SmackDown. Pearce was appointed the General Manager of WWE RAW last October.

The former NWA Champion took to his Instagram today to respond to an interesting question from a wrestling fan. The fan wondered if Pearce would consider returning to the ring to battle SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

Pearce took his time answering the question, and the video humorously cut off before the veteran revealed if he would return to the ring to battle Aldis.

"I've thought about it a lot, and I said I'd never angle for a match, and I won't. But if you are asking me to be honest, would I come back to active wrestling and face Nick Aldis? The short answer is..." said Pearce.

Adam Pearce had a very successful career in the ring before becoming an authority figure in WWE. The 46-year-old won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship five times during his time in the squared circle.

Adam Pearce issues fine following WWE RAW

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce was left with no choice but to fine multiple WWE Superstars following this past Monday's show.

Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed battled in a singles match that quickly got out of control on the red brand. Reed hurled a fan at The Monster of All Monsters during the match. The two stars battled backstage, and Strowman tackled the former North American Champion through a wall.

Following the chaotic match, Adam Pearce took to social media to announce that both stars were fined for their actions. He noted that they damaged a lot of property during the match, and his sanity as well.

"Bronson Reed has been fined a massive undisclosed amount for plucking an adult human male from the Portland audience and firing him at Braun Strowman. Both men have been fined an equal undisclosed amount for destroying walls, golf carts, production equipment, and my sanity," he wrote.

Nick Aldis also had an impressive career in the ring before becoming SmackDown General Manager and is a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Only time will tell if either GM decides to return to the ring in the future.
