Adam Pearce announces major championship match for tonight's WWE RAW
WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has made a major announcement ahead of tonight's show. This week's edition of RAW will be the first show following WWE King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia this past Saturday night.
Ahead of tonight's RAW in Georgia, Adam Pearce announced a huge Steel Cage match for this week's show. Liv Morgan captured the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring, but The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio got involved in the match.
The Man has the chance to win her title back when she battles Morgan later tonight inside a Steel Cage.
"Allow me to break some news. We all saw what happened and what took place at King and Queen of the Ring over the weekend. And as a result tonight in our main event, there will be a rematch for the Women's World Championship. Liv Morgan will defend her new championship against Becky Lynch. However, given how that all went down at King and Queen of the Ring, I've decided that tonight's rematch will have no chicanery, will have no shenanigans, and will be straight up one on one. Because tonight, in Savannah on Memorial Day, it will be Becky Lynch and it will be Liv Morgan with the championship on the line inside a steel cage," said Pearce. [From 00:09 - 00:41]
Vince Russo believes major WWE RAW move could backfire
WWE RAW will be moving to Netflix next year starting in January, and Vince Russo believes the change might be an issue for some fans.
Speaking on a recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo stated that people have been tuning in to RAW for free, and now the promotion is asking fans to pay for it. The veteran writer added that some fans might not pay for a Netflix subscription if they are not fully invested in the product.
"Since the beginning of time, people have been getting RAW for free. Now you're asking them to pay for it. I think Netflix and WWE just assumes that people are going to fork over the money. I don't agree with that, bro. I think if it is a sub-par product, they're gonna think twice before they pay for it." [3:49 – 4:17]

Rhea Ripley defeated Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL to retain the title but suffered an injury last month. The Eradicator was forced to relinquish the championship, and it will be interesting to see how she reacts to Morgan as champion when she returns to WWE television.
