Adam Pearce announces two major matches for upcoming WWE RAW

Adam Pearce has added two new matches to the lineup for the upcoming WWE Monday Night RAW. The flagship show will emanate from Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on September 16, 2024.

In a video shared by WWE on X/Twitter, the RAW General Manager declared that Damian Priest will clash with his former Judgment Day teammate, Dominik Mysterio in a highly anticipated "grudge" match. Adam Pearce additionally revealed that 'Big' Bronson Reed would face off against Braun Strowman in a one-on-one bout. This announcement came on the heels of Reed's impactful return to the red brand last week.

The Australian star made a surprise appearance, attacking The Monster Among Men during the latter's Intercontinental Championship number one contender's Fatal Four-Way match, and sending him crashing through the commentary table. The 46-year-old official also hyped fans about the return of CM Punk ahead of his brutal Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood on October 5, 2024.

WWE analyst wanted Adam Pearce to pitch a different stipulation between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre instead of Hell in a Cell

Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts shared his two cents on how Adam Pearce should have booked the match between The Scottish Warrior and The Second City Saint.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, the analyst suggested that the winner of the CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre III match should be determined by a major angle. Sam Roberts noted that Adam Pearce should make a definitive decision to have this match take place with the "Loser Leaves RAW" stipulation.

"Whatever you do with this match, I say stipulation, not the rules. The stipulation is Loser Leaves RAW. That's the way to do this for me. There's no way, regardless of who wins, that one person would go, 'You know what? You won two out of three. So you're the better man.' That would never happen. I think Adam Pearce needs to make something declarative that says. 'I realize these two can't be on the same roster. So we're going to do Drew McIntyre and CM Punk in one more match. Only this time, loser leaves WWE RAW,'" Sam Roberts said.
